For this photoshoot, I used an external flash to experiment with what effects that can create. I also experimented with a range of equipment such as, a soft box, coloured filters, diffusers, and reflectors. I found that different approaches create different results and specifically, I found that using the orange filter on the external flash was my favourite. it worked well with the environment I was capturing and brought out vibrant colours. experimented with different compositions including the rule of thirds which gave the photos a nice balance, I also worked with a variety of angles which I think was beneficial as my favourite images from this shoot are the ones that utilise the brick wall as the full background - I think this gives a nice balance to the photos and minimises distractions from the scenery. I also experimented with movement, as with a flash you are able to capture and freeze movement well in a lot of detail - I think this technique could do with some more practice however, it was a good starting point. in I enjoyed this photoshoot as I'd never used an external flash before so I got to learn a new skill that I'm interested in continuing to use.
