For this project, I have decided to focus on the album 'reputation'. Out of the options I considered, it's the one that makes the most sense for me creatively and realistically. The aesthetic is sharp, controlled, and studio based, with a limited range of props and motifs - snakes, newspaper, black and white palettes, and harsh shadows. I won't need elaborate sets or any other locations to make it work whereas, some of the other options were heavily location based which wouldn't have aligned with this project.

I also already have a deep understanding of the album's themes, context, and the whole narrative surrounding it, so coming up with ideas that will be cohesive to the album is a lot easier due to this. I won't be guessing about the meaning or visual aspects because I am already very familiar with it. The original visuals rely heavily on rim lighting, silhouettes, and split lighting, which I have already been experimenting with in the studio. Because of that, I feel like I can push those techniques further and create images that feel true to the album while still creating original and creative pieces.
