For this photoshoot, i went to Badsworth and revisited specific locations which i have memories of and/or pictures of from when i was young and photographed them with the intention of capturing a memory-like finish. I think this was a successful shoot as the final images do feel nostalgic to me, however, whether they feel nostalgic to the viewer is debatable and something i intend to work more towards in my next shoot. I used old shoes as props and positioned them in the same position as i was stood in an old photo, i then photographed them from the same angle the photograph was taken and also, got behind the shoes and photographed the scene in front of them as if it was what i saw when the original was taken. I focused on this specific path due to its leading lines to convey the idea of growth and leaving and journeys and i think this worked well in also creating a visually interesting image. In addition to the path, i also captured scenes such as cows, wheat fields, and my old primary school. The fields and cows are more aesthetically linked images as i thought they worked in capturing a feeling and a vibe rather than a specific personal tie in, where as the primary school is very much linked to a lot of my childhood memories and photographing that area from a low angle does successfully showcase what those memories look like. I conducted this photoshoot in the late afternoon as the sky was beginning to get more vibrant and golden, and additionally, the time where the sun was casting warm shadows down onto the ground and creating beautiful orange lighting and interesting shadows. I also experimented further with aperture and focusing on specific objects and leaving the background out of focus, i think this both creates a visually pleasing and balanced image while simultaneously hinting at the unknown ahead and the idea of the time to come.

When editing, i focused mainly on the dehaze tool and fading out the images for that washed out old feeling, that then desaturated the images heavily so i then focused on colour grading and ensuring i kept that orange glow which in my opinion enhances the story.

I think this photoshoot went better than my previous one however, there is definitely still room to work closer to my idea of memories and storytelling and find a way to make that narrative even clearer whether it be in different locations, different lighting, props, or editing styles, i want to continue to explore this idea further.
