I enjoyed the visit to The Hepworth and found it interesting to look around the exhibitions. Particularly, Caroline Walker's "Mothering" paintings, showing everyday mother-like scenes. The paintings were in a lot of detail and you could feel the emotion put into them. While they didn't necessarily tie into my project i did capture an image of an older woman admiring one of the paintings and this felt like she was looking into a memory from her life. This interested me as it was inspiring to see the two different times in one image (old and young), and it showed how powerful Walker's paintings were if were assuming the woman did feel something towards it. I think something i'll take from this work is the emotion i can put into a photo, whether the viewer has been or seen the specific location before doesn't matter if i can portray the nostalgia and familiarity in other ways.
