While in York, I did some street photography with the intention of capturing the beauty of York in interesting and unique ways. Working with reflections, a range of angles, and a wide range of scenes, I wanted to capture the beautiful structures and also the sense of community and festivity around christmas time.

Working on manual mode with a shutter speed of 1/160, aperture f6.3, and ISO 400 for the most part. I also experimented with a slow shutter speed of 1.5 seconds, aperture f22 and ISO 100 to capture movement of people walking in the street. It was difficult to adjust settings in time to capture different lighting and depth of field before the shot I wanted had moved on, however, working with a fast shutter speed and a general aperture/ISO, allowed me to have suitable settings for most areas, only having to adjust in dark/light spaces, indoors/outdoors, and when I wanted a shallower/deeper DOF.
